Lesson Plan: Acrylic Trees

Goal: paint an acrylic tree and use bundled Q-tips to stamp leaves onto the tree.

Materials:

Black paint
Paint brush
Q-tips
Acrylic paint of a few colors depending on season
Paper plates
Paper

How to prep:

You do not need any prep for this project other than making sure you have gathered all of your materials.

Directions for students:

First show them a picture of what the final product should look like and break it down into steps. Ask students to use the black paint to paint a bare tree and then use the Q-tips and the other color paints to stamp leaves on their tree.

Helpful Hints:

Bundle the q-tips with an elastic if you want a tree with many leaves.
